A Family Business Built on Quality
Francisco Ruiz has been around ICF construction for most of his working life. It started thirty years ago at a seminar on EPS foam — he walked in curious and walked out convinced. Years later, at a Builder's Show in Las Vegas, he saw ICF blocks being assembled into a full structure for the first time. The strength of concrete, continuous insulation, simple assembly. That was the moment he decided this was the only way he wanted to build.
Before he ever built for a client, he built his own home using ICF. He wanted to know the process firsthand — the assembly, the performance, the difference it made in South Texas heat. The energy savings were real. The structural quality was obvious. After that, it was hard to imagine building any other way.
Rusot USA grew out of that conviction. Francisco started the company to bring ICF construction to families and businesses across the Rio Grande Valley — people who deserved to build smarter but didn't always know it was an option.
Why It Matters That We're Local
National construction companies can build anywhere — and some do build in the RGV. But Francisco and his family grew up here. When he finishes a project and drives past it years later, that means something to him that it doesn't for a crew that flies in and out. He knows what Hidalgo County soil does to a foundation. He knows what a South Texas summer does to a building that wasn't designed for it. That kind of knowledge doesn't show up in a brochure — it shows up in how a structure performs ten years after the build. Over the years we've completed projects across Texas — but the Rio Grande Valley is home, and it's where we do our best work.
